About the Project

Mrs Bectors Food Specialities Ltd., a leading manufacturer in the Indian FMCG and bakery segment, operates at scale with an extensive network of B2B customers, distributors, and vendors across regions.

As the business expanded, onboarding new customers and vendors became increasingly complex. The existing process relied heavily on physical paper forms with multiple sections covering compliance, taxation, licensing, and operational details. This manual approach resulted in long onboarding cycles, inconsistent data, and significant administrative overhead.

To support scale and bring consistency across divisions, the client sought a digital transformation of their entire vendor and customer onboarding process-one that was simple for external users, yet robust enough to integrate seamlessly with their enterprise systems.

Manual data entry led to errors, duplication, and incomplete records

Compliance details such as GST, PAN, and FSSAI licenses required repeated verification

Onboarding thousands of existing customers digitally was operationally intensive

Lack of integration with SAP meant delays in operational readiness

The client needed a solution that could standardize onboarding, reduce manual effort, and create a single, reliable source of truth—without disrupting ongoing operations.

We designed and developed a secure, web-based onboarding platform tailored to enterprise-scale B2B workflows.

Specifically, the goals were to:

Digital Onboarding Web Portal

A centralized web application accessible via a unique link, allowing customers and vendors to complete onboarding digitally from any device.

Streamlined, Guided Flow

The lengthy paper form was re-engineered into a clean, step-by-step digital journey. Complex data capture was simplified into logical sections, making the process easy to understand and complete.

Intelligent Data Fetching

Integration with external APIs enabled automatic retrieval of company details using identifiers like GST and PAN, reducing manual entry and improving data accuracy.

Secure User Verification

SMS-based OTP verification ensured authenticity and prevented incorrect or duplicate submissions.

Centralized Data Management

All onboarding data was consolidated into a single system, enabling better visibility, hierarchy management, and cross-division alignment.

Scalable Architecture

The platform was built to support bulk onboarding initiatives, including the digital migration of thousands of existing partners.
